Como parte de este entrenamiento y con el propósito de determinar el mejor solvente de extracción, se evaluó la eficiencia de cuatro solventes para extraer compuestos fenólicos de hojas secas de cinco plantas aromáticas [1]. Los extractos obtenidos mediante extracción asistida por ultrasonido (EAU), fueron evaluados para estimar el contenido total de fenoles (CTF) mediante el método colorimétrico de Folin-Cioclateu en formato de microescala.
