The Amaryllidaceae family comprises several species with medicinal interest due to the presence of alkaloids and other bioactive metabolites [1]. Within this family, the genus Crinum has been used in traditional medicine to treat various diseases; however, the species Agapanthus praecox, in terms of its chemical composition and biological activity, has been little studied [2;3].
