PO3 Actividad antiedematosa del extracto etanólico total de las semillas de Ambrosia peruviana en un modelo in vivo

Ambrosia peruviana Kunth es utilizada para el tratar diversa dolencias. Estudios in vitro demostraron que este extracto inhibió óxido nítrico, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 y PGE2 en macrófagos, presentándose como alternativa para tratar procesos inflamatorios. En este trabajo se evaluó el efecto antiedematoso del extracto de A. peruviana, empleando el modelo de TPA, cuantificando el efecto sobre el edema, realizando análisis histopatológico y cuantificando la actividad de MPO. Los resultados muestran que el extracto disminuyó el edema con un marcado efecto sobre la infiltración de neutrófilos (Figura 1). En conclusión, este extracto representa una alternativa para el tratamiento de la inflamación.
