Abstract

The photoisomerization of α-pinene to β-ocimene is a promising strategy for the synthesis of high-value terpenes, which are key compounds in the food and cosmetic industries. This study focuses on a two-step process employing xanthones and mangosteen derivatives as natural sensitizers.
