Nanostructured materials are key to the development of eco-friendly catalysts, optimizing atomic economy and avoiding stoichiometric methods. In this study, a nanostructured Fe₃O₄@CS-Pd(II) catalyst was synthesized for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol to 4-aminophenol in water, using sonochemical methods. Chitosan stabilizes the MNPs and facilitates the immobilization of Pd(II). Characterizations such as TEM, SEM, TGA, and FTIR confirmed a size of 13 ± 3.5 nm. With a kinetic constant of 0.070 s⁻¹ and reusable for six cycles, this catalyst stands out in green chemistry for water decontamination and sustainable synthesis.
