The cultivation of Hass avocado (Persea americana Mill.) holds significant agricultural and economic importance worldwide, driving the expansion of production areas to meet the increasing market demand and capitalize on its high commercial value. However, this crop is susceptible to various diseases, with fruit anthracnose, caused by the phytopathogen Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, being particularly problematic. This disease remains latent in the field and leads to substantial postharvest losses, primarily due to fruit decay and a reduction in commercial quality.
