In a world increasingly demanding natural and sustainable solutions, the Capsicum genus stands out as a valuable source of bioactive compounds. With a global production exceeding $4.8 billion (2024)[1], this crop is not only essential for food security but also plays a crucial role in the natural products industry due to its richness in capsaicinoids, polyphenols, flavonoids, and carotenoids. These metabolites, known for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and nutraceutical properties, drive innovations in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries[2].
